Can I Cancel My Debit Card To Stop A Payment?
I fell for the Acai Berry Power 500 diet pills scam. The site said that they will send me a free trial for 14 days. After submitting my details including bank details they then told me that i will be charged £50 every 31 days unless i cancel. I have tried but don’t seem to be able to. If i cancel my debit and say that it has been lost/stolen will that stop the payments being taken out of my account?

Go back on the site & contact them, use the ‘contact us’ option at the bottom of the page. Send an email cancelling your contract & stating that you do not authorise any payments from the card. PRINT & KEEP A COPY. Any payments taken 15 days or more after the date of this are illegal.
In the meantime go into your bank if any payments are taken before the 15 days & tell them you didn’t authorise them to take any money, also explain that you have contacted them & take a copy of the email. These debits will probably be dealt with seperately.
Send the email now, go to the bank tomorrow!
no, you need to contact the bank and get them to stop all payments to them, axplain there is no number to contact them to cancel even tho it stated there is. they should be able to stop it, tho there will prob be some paperwork involved
just ring the credit card company and tell them what has happened and they will cancel it, there is no need to cancel the card.
if you report it stolen u need a crime number and if you get caught it is fraud!
